                                                    Domestic Violence

Domestic violence as defined by A.R.S §13-3601 involves committing violent acts
such as assault, sexual abuse, or kidnapping (among others) towards someone to
whom they are married, have a child in common, have some sort of family relation,
or is a child that has lived with the  person being accused. Additionally, domestic
violence can be committed towards someone in a past romantic or sexual
relationship. A police officer can arrest a person if the officer believes that they have
committed domestic violence even if they weren’t present at the time it was
committed.
